New and Current LMD Users
As a new user, you pay an initial price and will receive a CD containing the latest data and software releases. You will then be eligible for 2 free further data updates (updates are released on March 1, July 1 November 1 every year) which can be downloaded directly from the LMD website. To receive further updates after that time, you can simply take out a subscription. Updates will be password-protected and you will receive the relevant details on purchasing your subscription.
Existing OUP version Users
If you purchased version 3.0 from Oxford University Press (OUP) and were registered for data updates, you were eligible for free data updates to June 2003, when OUP ceased publishing the databases. If you wish to continue as a database user, then you will need to make a new purchase.
Photo Library Updates and contributor discounts
The photo libraries are currently updated every year in March, adding around 1000 images to the previous version (currently 17500 for Dysmorphology). Photo Library updates are provided free to subscribed users. Clinicians who have contributed images to the library are entitled to a 10% discount on any database purchase.
